The Role
Working under the general direction of Revenue Cycle Management, the A/R Specialist is responsible for resolving claim issues for commercial and governmental payers in a timely fashion in order to secure timely reimbursement for our customers and processes all corresponding A/R transactions including remittances, adjustments, refunds, patient payments, etc. accurately.
The Job
- Research and follow up on accounts receivables and claims with insurance companies
- Make appropriate decisions and calls to insurance carriers to maximize reimbursement on accounts
- Participate in training/meetings with Payers, internal departments, offshore partners, Client contact(s), etc., to address trends in denials or unprocessed claims
- Use data identify billing issues specific to outstanding receivables and partner with stakeholders to develop resolutions
About You
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in the Revenue Cycle space
- Attention to detail
- Understanding of HIPAA guidelines, process, and procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down ambiguous problems into actionable solutions and insights
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and G-suite a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication
