IBM Cognos reports developer - BI Analytics (Cognos version 11)
We are looking for an IBM Cognos reports developer, with design, development and support experience and skills. The applicant must have extensive experience in working in a business-facing support and development function.
This is a permanent position, based at head office in Watford, reporting to the business intelligence manager.
Essential experience/skills:
- bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, business, management information systems and/or related fields
- extensive experience in Cognos reports suite, using IBM Cognos BI Analytics (C11)
- metadata-modelling, using Cognos Framework Manager
- skills in advanced report-writing, dashboard development, adding data module, building story using the functionalities of Cognos BI Analytics
- automating, bursting, creating reports view and using Event Studio to trigger reports run and distribution
- performance-tuning for speed of reports' delivery, troubleshooting and resolving issues
- security model using active directory, Kerberos and Cognos
- Cognos Connection/Portal, Cognos Administration, Content Administration
- requirement-gathering, writing functional and technical specification, gap analysis and proof-of-concept
- providing day-to-day support to the business and effectively managing support requests to meet business expectations
- unit-testing and facilitating SIT and UAT
- documenting development, testing and deployment tasks
IBM Cognos BI Analytics
- IBM Cognos BI Analytics (C11) reporting suites
- MS SQL Server 2016 and above for queries
- life cycle of reports development, using IBM Cognos BI Analytics
- BI methodologies, best practices on BI architecture
