We are a small but growing English tea room with a lot of charm and character. We specialise in traditional afternoon tea service, and are home to a large selection of around 30 tea blends from all over the world. We are looking for versatile individuals with a positive attitude to grow with us, someone who is detail oriented and has a passion for the hospitality industry. We are currently an independent shop with one outlet in Kensington, but we plan to grow to further locations in the near future, so further opportunities will become available for those looking for career opportunities in hospitality.
Details of the job
- The role is a full time position, and paid at an annual salary of £20,000 - £25,000 per year, depending on experience and your weekly working hours. You will also receive additional payments through an even split of tips and gratuities for the day.
- We also have other bonus scheme opportunities available, such as performance bonuses, loyalty bonuses and end of year bonuses.
- For full time position applications, the schedule would be 35-40 hours per week, with day shifts ranging from 8am - 15pm, and 12pm - 19:30pm, including paid breaks, and meals on duty. A typical week would include five shifts (with one at the weekend).
Duties of the job:
The role is mainly broken down in to:
- Assisting with our daily afternoon tea pre-preparation, which includes pre-preparing a variety of our afternoon tea assortments, such as our finger sandwiches and hors d'ouvres.
- Assisting with the preparation and presentation of our afternoon tea options. This involves assembling and decorating our afternoon tea platters according to customer requests.
- Assisting with the quality control of our tea ware.
