We are looking for someone with a huge passion for coffee and an equally keen eye for detail to join a fast growing and dedicated team. Ideally an expert on all things related to making coffee, familiarity with commercial espresso machines, techniques, styles, origins, taste profiles and everything in between. A genuine passion for the coffee industry will be needed to champion our brand.
You will be working closely with roastery wholesale team in teaching and developing baristas internally and externally. You will take ownership of each trainee’s technical skills development and engage client aftersales visits. You will also be instrumental in providing feedback to the operations & training to refine and further develop our training and sales programmes, both existing and new.
Part of your time will also be allocated to running the wholesale production lines, administrating and delivery of wholesale and online orders.
What You Can Expect Your Responsibilities to Be...
Taking lead on the delivery of our entry level or advanced barista courses- Supporting the Training Manager in delivering soft and technical skills training
- Supporting with administrative tasks related to each course and event, including preparing training materials
- To maintain the training space, including stock control, purchasing, and managing coffee supplies, liaising with vendors, and keeping equipment in good working order
- Assisting the Roasters and wholesale team with client management, company branding and account growth
- To work with Operations team on refining training programmes and related materials
- To support with co-developing content
- To capture content for social media during training and as required
- Operation of production lines, administrating and delivery of wholesale and online orders
- Management of Company Branding and on-site stock management for busy coffee shops
- Working closely with the coffee roasters in managing coffee warehouse stock, equipment maintenance and cleaning
The Skills and Experience We are Looking For...
Hands-on experience working as a Barista or Head Barista- Proven experience teaching technical skills in delivering coffee or other content virtually or face to face, preferably to a range of people with different needs
- Experience in developing and delivering coffee industry brands
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate with a range of people from different backgrounds
- Positive mental attitude and ability to maintain energy for periods of time when working with groups of people
- Able to work to tight deadlines completing administrative tasks, including the use of Outlook Excel and Word or alternatives
- High level of familiarity in hospitality and/or specialty food or beverage
- Good knowledge of the specialty coffee industry, including major independent roasters and key industry leaders
- A passionate interest and knowledge of coffee culture
