About us

Gemini School of Dance was founded in 2008 by Jodie McRae and has grown to have over 200+ students. Gemini is located in the Greenhill, Bradway, Totley & Dore area of Sheffield offers professional tuition in Street Dance, Freestyle, Commercial, Lyrical, Pre-school, Musical Theatre, Contemporary Modern Jazz, Acro, Ballet, Pointe & Tap.

We are a modern day dance school with inspirational teachers who are constantly keeping up to date with current dance trends. We aim to bring each student to a professional dance level as well as enhancing their confidence and wellbeing. Each student is valued for their individuality and encouraged to reach their full potential in a creative and friendly environment.

Job Description

We are looking for a bubbly personality who will connect to our students and contribute to us as a team.
The desired candidate will need to have a strong Acro/ Gymnastics dance background and teaching technique to be able to enthuse and inspire our students in different dance genres. We require an experienced teacher who can continue progressing our dancers through the levels, working on front and side aerials and back handsprings in the more advanced classes.

Alongside our term time classes at Gemini you will be given the opportunity to work at our popular holiday clubs, kids birthday parties and teach dance for KS1 & KS2 after school clubs at local primary schools.

At Gemini we have very high standards and expectations from our students, often entering into dance exams and friendly competitions, therefore we need someone who promotes our vision.

Working hours - Term Time (Sheffield) on a self-employed basis. Part time hours: 6 - 8 per week, with possibility of increasing hours in the future.

Start date - September 2023 (with the possibility of starting earlier if available).

Salary - £16.50 - £25 per hour (depending on qualifications/experience)

Work location - In person. Sheffield, S17 4QU.
