About Our Client
My client is a successful Engineering company offering a stable and lucrative career in their machine shop based in Colchester require a CNC Operator , to set , operate and program machines (5 Datron cnc's ) Training provided
Job Duties
- You will receive training in importing files into artcam / carveco and programming them
- You will learn how to create a brass plate from that file using cnc equipment
- You will be expected to then hand finish blocks using bandsaws and other hand tools – training provided.
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time
- Communicate and liaise effectively with colleagues
- Think both creatively and logically to help your team resolve design and development problems.
- Health, Safety and Environment Maintain standards of safety and comply with the Company’s health, safety and environment management systems requirements.
- Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
- Quality Control Ensure quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with specification.
- Assist with compilation of as built drawings/production orders where requested. Ensure compliance documents are completed accurately.

Requirements
- Basic CNC knowledge to change tooling etc
- You will be happy working within a team or on your own initiative.
- Candidates should have good basic English and maths skills, be friendly, reliable, and well-motivated.
- Artistic flair
- Positive can-do attitude
- Good eye for detail & ability to pick up errors or inconsistencies
- We are in a rural location so own transport is essential
