We are hiring for a CNC Programmer to join our growing team in Portadown.

Responsibilities

• Programming 3 and 5 axis CNC Milling Machines
• Cutting tool selection and work holding tool design
• Validating programming quality through part First Artile Inspection.
• Creation of machine set up sheets & operator work instructions.
• Improving and working to lean manufacturing process.
• Ensuring the safety of both employees and machinery
• Training / mentoring less experienced programmers within the department.
• Liaise with tooling and software manufacturers to drive Continuous Improvement.
• Investigate and apply techniques to reduce cycle times and explore new technology to make improvements to workshop throughput.
• Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures
• Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies

Requirements

Essential

• 3 years' machining experience including offline programming experience using a CAM package. (Mastercam,Hypermill / Delcam / Catia or equivalent).
• Experience working within a lean Manufacturing environment.
• Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Proven ability to work independently, or as part of a team, with little or no supervision.

Desirable

• Relevant Manufacturing/Engineering degree is preferred, or HND, BTec Professional Level
• 5 Award or equivalent NVQ Level 5 qualifications.
• Working knowledge of Fanuc and Heidenhain controls desirable
• Possess strong computer skills to include all programs in the Microsoft Office Suite
