Job description
Location: Mansfield, Notts
We are a friendly and happy, family run local business. We are looking for a CNC Turning Machinist, a hardworking team-player with proven experience using Fanuc control.
Specific Responsibilities:
To Program, Set and Operate CNC Lathes with Fanuc control.
A successful candidate will have:
Experience in the setting and programming of a Fanuc CNC Lathe.
The ability to read technical drawings.
Experience working to close tolerances.
The ability to accurately inspect your own work using appropriate inspection equipment.
Knowledge and Experience
- Maths & English GCSE
- Apprenticeship trained in a mechanical/engineering discipline as a minimum, any additional engineering qualification advantageous
- An understanding of Fanuc control is essential
- Manual Turning experience is beneficial
- Programming and setting experience is essential
- Excellent bench work skills
- Time served machinist from a manufacturing environment preferred.
Full time permanent role on days. £13-£14 per hour based on experience. Working Hours: Mon-Thurs 7:30am-16:30pm, with a half hour dinner break. Friday 7:30am-12:30pm. Overtime available.
