An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CNC Grinder to join our team in Mainline Shafts (DSFT), within the Rotatives Supply Chain Unit.
You will operate in a busy, world-class engineering and manufacturing environment and be responsible for delivering against weekly targets to meet customer requirements. Your role as a CNC Grinder will involve working on some of the latest machining platforms in Rolls Royce producing various shaft components across all the major engine projects.

What you will be doing:
You will work with cross functional teams to implement and sustain improvement activities within our manufacturing environment.
- Work to Rolls-Royce Technical Instructions to deliver consistent, high quality Inspection across a variety of different components and product families.
- Operate a variety of Inspection equipment, micrometers, bore gauges and comparator gauging.
- The interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.
- The assessment of whether the quality of components produced within the facility meets the required standards. Work within a team to effectively resolve quality issues and ensure your work is being completed to plan.

- NVQ Level 3 and time served engineering apprenticeship, with previous experience with aerospace components would be preferable.
- Prior experience of internal, external and Curvic grinding would be preferred.
- Prior experience of the visual and dimensional inspection to aerospace standard is preferable.
- Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, dimensional and visual inspection. Looking for candidates who are pro-active and patient individuals that are capable of managing their time effectively.
