Job Title: Marketing Officer

Overall Purpose of Job
Your job is to be the marketing expert within our PR & Marketing team, driving engagement with our customers, increasing business leads and supporting campaigns utilising both traditional and digital marketing methods across the group.
You will lead on all marketing and promotional campaigns across the group and be the lead for the development and monitoring of content for our websites. Your role will also include responsibility for all our social media channels, to manage and maintain our reputation, measuring engagement, identifying improvements and implementing them.

Main responsibilities
· Plan and implement marketing campaigns to market Ongo services through digital and traditional marketing methods – utilising our current platforms and implementing new methods to agreed budgets
· Be the lead in supporting teams to plan, implement and evaluate marketing campaigns to achieve their objectives
· Ensuring all marketing activity complies with GDPR and Data Protection regulations
· Be the lead contact for all external marketing agencies and manage all contracts for outsourced marketing work. To include building strong business relationships, providing clear, timely briefs and ensuring tasks are delivered to specification and budget
· Create a marketing framework of suppliers and manage this framework with the support of the Procurement team
· Deliver training through the procurement of external suppliers, to improve digital capabilities of colleagues across the business
· Produce collateral to support the PR & Communications Manager with the delivery of the overall Ongo Corporate Plan objectives
· Ensure brand consistency in all marketing work
· Source and create engaging content, including video content and graphics, to improve the impact and user experience of online communications
· Improve usability, design and content of all websites and achieve high conversion rates
· Ensure all company websites are up to date, accurate and relevant
· Track performance and use the data to improve website content to ensure customers have an engaging online experience and to monitor trends to inform improvements online
· Monitor online and social media forums to identify and respond to risks to the company reputation
· Oversee the development and content of the company’s intranet site, working in partnership with our Innovation & Technology team
Knowledge, skills and experience required
· A professional qualification in a marketing or related field at degree level or equivalent
· Experience working in a marketing role
· The ability to manage a project or campaign from planning to implementation and measurement with little supervision
· The ability to manage a specific budget for a project or task
· Experience using Google Analytics and other online tracking tools
· Up-to-date understanding of usability, accessibility and general web standards
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· The ability to write clearly, concisely and persuasively for different audiences and for a range of media, in particular writing for online audiences
· A good understanding of social media and experience of social media monitoring
· A good understanding of the importance of brand and reputation management
· The ability to work on numerous projects at any one time
· The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
· The ability to work as part of a team but also able to use own initiative
· An understanding of SEO, PPC (Google AdWords), email marketing and campaign tracking to drive conversions
· Experience using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop would be desirable
Experience in Umbraco would be desirable
