After a very successful year since The Whistler launched and rebranded, we are looking for an experienced Club Steward to continue on this exciting journey

Hours of work:

The Whistler is currently open the following times:

Monday: 4pm – 9pm
Wednesday: 4pm – 11pm
Friday: 3pm – 11pm
Saturday: 12 noon – 11pm
Sunday: 12 noon – 7pm

The hours of the Club Steward are a minimum of 30 hours per week with flexibility to increase when necessary.

The Role

We need someone who has experience of running a bar: Managing stock, implementing standards and processes and managing the bar staff as well as having, and being able to implement great ideas for driving footfall and future growth alongside the Committee.

• The Club Steward will ensure that the clubhouse is fully operational and ready for use.

• They will play an integral part in developing the atmosphere at the club into one that is dynamic, welcoming and fun for all; where people choose to come and spend their leisure time.

• In performing this role, delivery of the highest professional standards and quality of services will be paramount.

• The Club Steward will be required (alongside the committee) to explore and implement all appropriate cost saving efficiencies, service improvements and investments to maximise the commercial opportunities available and promote these at every opportunity.

• The position requires excellent organisational and personal skills. They will be open-minded with a patient personality that will engage with the Committee to assist with the future growth and development of The Whistler and it’s standing in the local community.

• The successful applicant will have a ‘can-do’ approach and will always be expected to be an ambassador of the Club and be a visible presence during opening hours, representing The

Whistler in a professional and friendly manner.

Salary

Salary £21,000 + per annum with potential for added bonus of 5k-10k pa + for a minimum 30hrs
