The Role of the Club Driver
Main Accountabilities
- To be the club’s primary point of call for Football Department related transport.
- To plan routes effectively based on traffic patterns, weather and needed stops to maximise effectivity.
- To ensure the car is clean at all times, filled with fuel and appropriately stocked with water for all passengers.
- To drive in a safe and calm manner that ensures a low risk for any passengers.
- To ensure the car has paid all tolls, parking & congestion charges at all time to avoid penalty notices.
- To ensure complete confidentiality at all times, not to discuss any issues or jobs with anyone except the appropriate line manager.
- Be a proactive presence in the Football Department, helping with tasks as & when required.
- Be prepared to visit properties, make deliveries and complete odd jobs as required on behalf of the Football Department.
- Make sure the car is well maintained, tyres are safe and the car is otherwise safe to drive and know how to make basic repairs such as tyre change.
- Work home & away match days as required, providing additional logistical support for the 1st Team.
- Follow the 1st Team schedule, which may result in days off being midweek.
- Be prepared to work unsociable hours as requested, including evenings, bank holidays and weekends.
- Accompany players/staff to events to make sure they can get in and out of events efficiently & safely.
- Any other appropriate miscellaneous tasks as requested by the Football Department from time to time

- To comply with all Club policies, including health and safety, data regulations and other legal, ethical and social requirements.
- To build and maintain good working relationships while maintaining a professional image.
- To keep confidential any information gained regarding the Club and its personnel.
- To maintain a flexible approach to work at all times.

Person Specification - Essential Personal Characteristics
- Clean full UK driving license
- Organised & detail orientated
- Ability to drive long distances safely
- Expert knowledge of the UK driving laws
- Car maintenance knowledge
- A practical, hands on approach to problem solving
- The ability to find solutions to problems while ensuring safety
- A proactive person who is willing to get involved
Person Specification - Desirable Characteristics
- Advanced and/or defensive driving certificate
- Extensive driving experience both in the UK and abroad.
- Language skills
- Interpersonal skills who can get on with everyone.
- Lives within 25 mins drive to Osterley
- Valid SIA license
