Cloud Environments Manager - Leeds
Would you like to work on one of the largest retail transformation projects in the world? We are looking for a Cloud Environments Manager to join our expanding eCommerce Platform team.

This role is a technical delivery role with responsibility for delivering and managing 3rd parties, initially to build our target state eCommerce environments and latterly to manage the non-production environments to support our product and project teams with new requests. The role will involve...
- Working with test managers and squads to understand their infrastructure requirements and coordinate the build of the environments
- Performance monitoring, capacity planning, and troubleshooting stability/connectivity issues during the route-to-live activities
- Third-party supplier management, involving software upgrades (SaaS), Managing Cloud technology refreshes, impact assessing Central Cloud CoE policy changes, FinOps reporting for eCommerce environments
- Visibility and overview of backup and recovery solutions, with documented procedures in place - published RTO/RPO to be in place
As environment manager you will be adept at coordinating, deploying, and operating complex and highly integrated technical platforms in an automated manner. You will building strong working relationship with teams across cloud infrastructure, networking, security and external vendors with a view to building and maintaining an end to end environment strategy and ethos of continuous improvement.
As Environment Manager you will span multiple PODs within eCommerce so you must be able to work autonomously and be confident supporting multiple teams & components in a fast-paced environment.
Your Role
- Must have significant experience of managing complex IT environments (Exposure to public/private cloud is highly desirable)
- Creation / Maintenance of Environment strategy and plan
- Day to Day Management of Environment Analysts (team of 3)
- On boarding of new applications to Environments
- Define processes to support environmental usage in a CI/CD pipeline setup.
- Status reporting - Communicate and report all environment delivery related issues and progress.
- Manage the relationship with the project/agile delivery managers acting as a single point of contact for environment delivery.
- Ownership of non-production environments - Main point of contact.
About You
- Outstanding communicator
- Proven practical experience of working in an Agile/DevOps environment
- Third Party Management experience in a global setting
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills; able to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Understanding / experience of the tools and technology landscape related to automation (ADO), code control (Github), deployment & orchestration, cloud (Azure, multiple SaaS providers) and IaC (ARM, Terraform)
- Experience of managing technical teams
