Job description
This role will provide a comprehensive administration service to the IBD Research Department and will involve working closely with clinical Investigators, Research Nurses and other members of research teams to maintain holistic support for the department, thus facilitating a high quality research service.
The postholder will assist Principal Investigators to complete submissions to local Ethics Committees and Research and Development departments, ensuring other legislative requirements are met as appropriate.
The role will involve effective completion of all documentation relating to research patient participation including hospital records, Case Report Forms (CRF’s) and electronic research records and provide an efficient response to data queries in a timely manner. There will be a responsibility to ensure that all relevant documents are available for all research patients, adhering to Medical Records tracing systems.
The role will also involve ensuring that the portfolio of clinical trial protocols are adhered to and that the team are working in accordance with GCP and research governance standards for clinical trials.
Although the post holder’s primary focus would be within Gastroenterology IBD, there is an expectation that you are also responsive to the research needs of the organisation and may therefore be required to work in other research areas within the Trust.
