The department is excited to be able to offer the opportunity for a reliable, enthusiastic, hardworking Clinical Support Worker to join our team. You will work alongside Audiologists and other members of the team to support paediatric hearing assessments at the Freeman Hospital and other outlying clinics.

A substantial part of the role will be to act as a Clinical Assistant in paediatric hearing assessments and other specialist clinics as required.
As our department provides a comprehensive Audiology and Hearing Aid service to the whole of the North of Tyne area you will be expected to transport yourself across the locality when required. A driving licence and access to a car, or the ability to drive, is highly desirable.

- The purpose of the job is to work under the direction and supervision of an Audiologist providing assistance and support to facilitate an efficient service and maintain a safe environment within the Audiology department.
- The post holder will be expected to participate in a range of clinical and non-clinical activities within the department.
- The postholder will act as a clinical assistant in paediatric hearing assessments and other specialist clinics as required.
- Help to maintain an efficient, professional and patient centred service by contributing to administrative tasks, housekeeping and other departmental duties as required.
- The job is based at the Freeman Hospital however the post holder may be required to operate at the RVI or other sites from time to time.
