University Hospital Ayr, Building for Better Care Project has redesigned the existing front door services, the result of this is a 21st Century- State of the art development comprising of ambulatory/clinical pathway bays, initial assessment bays, rapid assessment cubicles, clinic rooms and a complement of 29 single bedrooms including four Medical High Care beds. This services aims to change the model of care at the front door – from ‘admit to assess’ to ‘assess for admission’.
As a Clinical Support Worker in the Combined Assessment Unit you should be motivated and enthusiastic to join a new team in delivery of exemplary patient care. You must have a genuine interest in joining a fast paced environment and be dedicated to patient centered care. You should have evidence of continued professional development along with all standard mandatory and statutory training up to date. In turn the CAU team will offer you a career long supported learning programme based around robust Competency Framework.
You should be creative, enthusiastic and posses a ‘can do’ attitude, with the wish to offer our patients the best experience possible whilst in our department.
