Please note this is a Fixed-term/Secondment - Part Time post for 6 months (20hours per week / 4 hours per day, Mon-Fri)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Secretary to join our Surgical department, based at University Hospital Wishaw.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of clinicians, enabling clinicians to operate effectively and efficiently. Work in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Knowledge, training and / or / experience required to do the job:
- SVQ level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience) plus at least 2 years experience in healthcare administration or at least 3 years experience in a secretarial role
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Effective team working and dealing with change
- Strong communication skills with patients, clinicians and colleagues.
- Excellent organisational skills
- Evidence of strong competence with relevant IT systems
- Audio typing skills
