About us
The Queen Square Movement Disorders Centre (QS MDC), based in the Department of Clinical and Movement Neurosciences, brings together and supports the multi-disciplinary group of movement disorders academics and clinicians at UCL’s Queen Square Institute of Neurology and its affiliated hospitals (UCLH & Royal Free Hospital). The QS MDC encompasses research in clinical, molecular, physiological, and therapeutic aspects of movement disorders. The aim of the centre is to understand movement disorders and to derive new insights into basic biology, aetiology, and clinical care alongside the development of new treatments.
About the role
We are seeking an organised and collaborative Clinical Research Coordinator to be responsible for the management of the QS MDC’s day-to-day activities and strategic projects against timelines and objectives.
This role is critical in ensuring that the QS MDC meets the aim of bringing together our membership of internationally regarded clinicians and academics to support and develop our portfolio of multidisciplinary clinical research in movement disorders.
You will be responsible for disseminating information about the Centre’s research and increasing public engagement with our work by managing the Centre’s public website and social media account, engaging with relevant charities and patient groups, and developing and delivering various patient and public involvement activities and meetings.
The post is available immediately and is funded by a grant from the NIHR BRC to 31 December 2024 in the first instance.

About you
You will be educated to degree level with experience of working or conducting research in an academic environment with academic staff. Excellent organisational and project management skills and experience are essential, along with IT proficiency at advanced user level (including good skills in database design and use), excellent communication skills, and the ability to work without close supervision. The ability to liaise effectively and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management, academics, healthcare professionals, funders and research participants is also essential as is Good Clinical Practise Training.
This role meets the eligibility requirements for a skilled worker certificate of sponsorship or a global talent visa under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL welcomes applications from international applicants who require a visa.

The post is graded as Grade 7, with a starting salary of £38,308 per annum (including London Allowance).
