Alongside this you will also support our established licensed radiopharmaceutical unit and newly built modular on-site aseptic oncology unit. As Head of Pharmacy Quality Assurance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of pharmaceutical care, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are delivered across all our manufacturing services.
As part of the departmental senior management team, you will be supported by a wide range of committed experts and leaders in their respective fields.

Your main responsibilities will be:
- An essential part of the role will be building our established quality assurance team to develop an exceptional department with a commitment to quality and safety.
- Providing senior strategic leadership on all aspects of quality assurance in relation to pharmaceutical manufacturing and preparation in UHS aseptic and radiopharmaceutical services.
- Lead with respect to all quality and regulatory aspects of design, commissioning and maintenance of the Adanac Aseptic Hub facility.
- Act as a Qualified Person (QP), responsible for assuring the quality of medicines as defined in the Human Medicines Regulation 2012/1916, on the Manufacturing Authorisation as required. To manage MHRA licence applications, MHRA Licence(s), liaising with MHRA and supporting regulatory inspections.
- Extensive experience in quality assurance within the pharmaceutical industry.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, including GMP and relevant guidelines in relation to medicines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Leadership capabilities to guide and inspire team members towards achieving quality objectives.
- The ability to travel between our sites periodically.
