Job description
Specialist Clinical Services -Liaising with prescribers, nurses and other Health Care Professionals. Medicine reconciliation and optimisation and clinical screening of prescriptions. Medicine Management and Service Development- Address prescribing issues and promote cost effective prescribing. Investigate medication issues and support the development, implementation and monitoring of guidelines.
Lead on any pharmacy specific service developments on AAU Leadership/ Management - Act as pharmacy representative on AAU Education and Training- Participate in in-service training and continuing education programmes within the Pharmacy and AAU. Support with the training of junior pharmacy staff and pharmacy students and any other health care professionals on the unit General Duties - Participate in the AAU 7 day working rota working 12 hour shifts. To assist in the delivery of other pharmacy department services as required. To liaise with the dispensary team, other clinical pharmacists and on call teams as needed
