Clinical Pharmacist
Band 6 Permanent, 37.5 hours
We wish to recruit forward thinking clinical pharmacists to join our clinical pharmacy team based at Borders General Hospital providing services throughout NHS Borders.
The NHS Borders pharmacy team is embracing workforce transformation with a “grow our own/grass roots” plan. Skill mix review, team work, flexibility and advanced practice for all staff groups is a key priority.
You will receive training and experience in a variety of clinical services; dispensary and specialist medicine services (including homecare and SACT) designed to meet your personal development needs, preparing you for career progression.
Our friendly and experienced teams will support you as you provide pharmaceutical care to a variety of patient groups, including Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Mental Health, Care of the Elderly, Cardiology, Stroke, Cancer care, Palliative care and Intensive care.
You will be offered and encouraged to undertake continuous professional development using the Post Registration Foundation Training (plus Independent prescribing) or other further postgraduate study depending on your level of experience and needs. In turn, you will support NHS foundation pharmacists, both BGH-based and community-based during their hospital sector placement.
You will contribute to our EDC rota which is approximately 1 in 12 (same frequency for weekend working)
