Non-Pharmacist Pharmacy Manager Dispenser/Technician - Dalkeith, EH22 2BP

The Opportunity

  • You will be based within a busy community pharmacy located three miles east of Edinburgh's city centre, it provides excellent patient centred pharmaceutical care.
  • The ideal candidate should be commercially focused, patient orientated and have the ability to lead and develop our enthusiastic dispensary team.
  • Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be responsible for and oversee the delivery of all aspects of the Scottish Pharmacy Contract and optimise the delivery of dispensing and professional services.
  • You will be pivotal in building long term relationships with all key stakeholders to support the achievement of business goals and objectives whilst maintaining Company policies, procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications & Skills - To be Successful

  • You have a minimum of three years’ experience working as a dispenser or technician.
  • Previous experience in relief, supervisory, managing or project roles would be beneficial.
  • Evidence of consistent delivery of key business metrics and can demonstrate how you have impacted on the performance of the businesses and the teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, you have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Hold an NVQ/SVQ 2 or NVQ/SVQ 3 or equivalent qualification in dispensing.
  • GPhC accredited Medicines Counter Assistant qualification. However, if you have not previously completed this, you will be supported to complete the training within 6 months of joining the company.

  • A competitive salary – Monday – Friday, 40 hours, 09:00-17:30 (30 minutes unpaid break), Occasional Saturdays may be required.
