Evolve is recruiting for a unique Pharmacist opportunity with a leading Healthcare organisation. Our client is seeking a Responsible Pharmacist to join their team at Head Office in High Wycombe, to assist in the running of their online pharmacy that offers a medicines home delivery service, to conveniently combine the delivery of patients’ stoma or continence supplies along with their medicines straight to their homes.
This is a non-patient facing role.
Salary details:
- Up to £47,000 DOE
- 25 Days Holidays (rising to 27 after 5 years)

Ideal Requirement for the Responsible Pharmacist role
- Must be UK registered Pharmacist with valid GPhC Number.
- Accredited to provide Essential, Advanced and Enhanced services.
- A team player who is involved in all sides of the pharmacy business.
- An excellent communicator who is confident at networking with patients and local healthcare professionals.
- Service focused and enthusiastic for the new pharmacy contract and are keen to develop and grow the service.
Role Responsibilities for the Responsible Pharmacist role
- Be professional, ethical and believe in providing outstanding patient care and customer service at all times.
- Responsible for compliance with the associated guidance available from GPhC.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the mail order/on-line pharmacy and dispensing prescription medicines to the public, following prescriptions issued by an authorised Medical Practitioner.
- Ensure that different treatments are compatible; Checking dosage and ensuring that medicines are correctly and safely supplied and labelled. Supervise the preparation of any medicines and keeping a register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control purposes.
- Liaise with Doctors about prescriptions; as well as counselling and advising our patients public on the treatment of minor ailments.
- Advise patients of any adverse side-effects of medicines or potential interactions with other medicines/treatments and prepare dossette boxes.
- Undertake other services such as new medicine review.
- Provide a prescription intervention service and arrange the delivery, liaising with our Distribution department, of prescription medicines to patients.
