In these stimulating roles you will work closely with, and be supported by, a fantastic team of pharmacists, technicians and support staff to build on your previous experience and continue your development in pharmacy practice.

We have 5 posts on offer across Cwm Taf Morgannwg 4 of which are for hospital roles and one for primary care. Hospital posts are for Prince Charles Hospital (Merthyr Tydfil), Princess of Wales Hospital (Bridgend) and Royal Glamorgan Hospital, (Llantrisant). We would encourage you to indicate within supporting information, if you would like to be considered for a Primary care or a hospital role. Also, for a hospital role we would like you to indicate your preferred site for which you would like to be considered for or if you are flexible for any site.
In secondary care you will have the opportunity to develop greater autonomy and responsibility whilst providing medicines management services to selected wards. These could include, Acute Medicine, Admissions, General Surgery and Trauma & Orthopaedics. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The Medicines Management team will provide you with support to integrate into the GP practices across the Health Board, where you will work closely with a variety of Health Care Professionals in the primary care sector. The role will involve provision of medicines optimisation support and advice to the designated GP practices. If you thrive on providing expert advice on medicines, addressing polypharmacy and complex clinical medication reviews closer to the patient’s home environment, then this is the role for you.
These posts offer excellent practice based development opportunities to train across different clinical disciplines as well as a structured training program well suited to your training needs and career aspirations including an independent prescribing qualification.
