An exciting 12-month secondment opportunity has arisen to join the North Derbyshire Children’s Community Continence Service. We are a small friendly team which is the lead provider for the Countywide Continence Service who supports children and young people aged 4-19 years in the community to achieve their continence potential.
We are looking for a Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist in Children’s Community Continence to support and make a difference to children and young people’s incontinence needs.
The successful candidate will be a children’s registered nurse who has a passion for leadership and continence within the community for children’s and young peoples and their families. Applicants need to possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills whilst working independently and as part of a team.
Uses expert levels of clinical decision making through specialist assessment and interpretation of clinical information to support patients and carers who have complex and/or changing physical symptoms, emotional or practical needs.
Overall responsibility for the care of a caseload of patients requiring specialist advice as appropriate, accept referrals from other healthcare professionals and work unsupervised.
Through demonstration of high levels of clinical expertise and practice, work collaboratively with members of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), divisional care unit and others to review and plan services which are responsive, cost effective and evidence based.
Provide strong, professional leadership working in partnership to enhance professional standards of care across the service linking in with primary, secondary and tertiary care as appropriate.
