An exciting post has been created from additional funding to work as part of our existing community alcohol services. We provide treatment to those within the Liverpool area who are experiencing alcohol addiction.
As part of the role, it will be expected that the successful candidate will also engage with the wider services within Liverpool, to build relationships, act as a point of contact and improve interagency working
A unique opportunity has arisen within the Liverpool Alcohol Services for a band 6 Mental Health Practitioner. This role will involve working across the service, including in a community setting such as GP practices, providing assessment, care and treatment of service users with alcohol addiction
This role requires some knowledge of physical health comorbidities. The role involves working closely with colleagues in the acute trust and primary care, contributing within the MDTs and over seeing health care and treatment
The successful applicant will be expected to work autonomously within this role however will be part of the wider alcohol service

Assessment and formulation of treatment plans and risk management plans, with a focus on addiction
Crisis intervention and sign posting to relevant agencies, such as, CMHT's, CRHT, mental health inpatient referrals, third sector agencies.
Working collaboratively and participation in Multi Disciplinary Team meeting's.
Awareness of physical health conditions.
Good understanding of the Mental health and mental Capacity Acts and how these are applied in an acute hospital setting.
Providing support and supervision to junior members of the team.
Providing, support and acting as a point of contact to the acute hospital.
Participation in internal audits.
