An experienced RGN/RMN Registered Nurse is required to work as Clinical Lead / Nurse Manager in our Specialist Nursing home supporting Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and End of Life Care, working alongside our strong, experienced team in place, always ensuring consistent high-quality care.
Details of this position and what the successful candidate will receive:
- A permanent contract of 42 hours (days) per week covering a 7-day rota. Flexibility may be required due to the seniority of the role.

As Clinical Lead Nurse / Nurse Manager, you will manage, monitor, and oversee all aspects of clinical and personal care within the home. You will support the Home Manager and provide effective leadership and direction to care and nursing staff and will ensure care documentation is up to date and fully meeting resident needs.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Ensure that the NMC code of practice is always met by demonstrating and monitoring standards of high-quality nursing and care practice. Carrying out Risk Assessments and take part in GP rounds will be mandatory.
- Routinely deputise for Deputy Manager for the service, ensuring that day-to-day tasks and routines are carried out to contribute to the smooth running of the service, and that the service is safe and secure.
. Participate and deliver in-house training programmes, operate as an in-house assessor.
. To carry out audits and actioning outcomes of audits on a monthly basis.
. To complete care plans and risk assessments, overseeing and auditing the care plans monthly.
. To overlook all admissions, ensuring continuity in the pre admission and admission process.
. To maintain reports on weight and wound management
. To mentor nurses in upskilling and supervision.
. Reporting on incident/accident trends and identifying risk reduction strategies.
. To complete DOLs authorisations and Death notifications in line with company procedure
The successful candidate for this post will meet the following criteria:
- NMC registered Adult Nurse/RGN or Mental Health Nurse/RMN.
- Up to date NMC registration
- Experienced in a leadership or supervisory role within a UK care home setting
- Confident undertaking clinical assessments and in all aspects of care management
- Be able to implement policies and procedures in an effective manner which are in line with the legislative, regulatory, and fundamental care standards
- Efficient leader and confident in mentoring and developing nurses
