This is an exciting opportunity to help develop the Talking Therapies Long Term Conditions service within Coventry and Warwickshire. The post holder will play a key role in establishing clinical pathways and referral protocols, alongside physical health staff, for people living with long term health conditions.
Alongside delivering assessment, formulations, and treatment interventions for those with long term health conditions you will provide clinical leadership to staff delivering CBT and other interventions.
Working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Service’s policies and procedures.
You will utilise research skills for audit, policy, service development and research within the highly specialised area of CBT (and/or other interventions) for Long Term Conditions within the service.
Please note many Trust interviews take place through Microsoft Teams, this can be downloaded either through the App Store or Google Play for use on your phone/tablet.
Provide a psychological service for patients, including assessment, individual and group interventions, risk management and referral on to other mental health services as required.
To offer specialist advice and consultation to other health professionals as requested.
To provide leadership within the service, ensuring that governance, safety and risk are appropriately managed in liaison with the therapist or trainee.
To manage, supervise and support assessment and treatment of CBT and other interventions as appropriate provided by psychological therapists and any other clinicians working within the team.
To organise, plan and implement teaching and training within the Service at introductory, step 2 and step 3 levels for Talking Therapies and physical health staff as appropriate.
To play a key role in setting up the LTC pathways working with physical health MDT, third sector providers and in coproduction with service users.
To utilise research skills for audit, policy, and service development.
Support the Clinical Lead with service performance responsibilities and representing the service Trust wide within external meetings, e.g., with commissioners.
Maintain electronic systems for referrals, appointments, activity, and outcome monitoring for performance management, including continuous audit and evaluation of service. Support others in use of these systems.
