Job description
The post holder will be a data minded individual with a strong understanding of technology. The primary purpose of this role is to support the digital infrastructure of the Northern service and to ensure data is gathered securely and reported efficiently by working closely with the senior management team, internal informatics departments and external system providers. The post holder will also be a point of technical support for the Northern service, using technical skills and knowledge to support the service to maintain operational business continuity.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day to day support for all Northern service staff using the clinical management system (Inform Sexual Health) and the informatics infrastructure which supports it.
- Line manager responsibilities for informatics/analyst personnel, including staff appraisal.
- Lead on the establishment and maintenance of robust reporting systems for the Northern service.
- Be the designated data analyst for the service.
- Support wider projects and lead on elements of projects.
- Provide technical support for all systems used within the department.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and with other departments across the trust.
- Provide regular service reports to demonstrate performance and capacity as well as ensure compliance with agreed targets/KPIs (internal and external).
- Provide data quality assurance for reporting and use technical knowledge to resolve issues.
- Support the implementation of new systems and processes.
- Delivery user training and create training materials/user guides.
- Be responsible for updating and/or implementing changes to the activity management system as required e.g. clinics, templates & letters etc.
- Support the planning, procurement and implementation of informatics projects e.g. piloting, data migration, texting software, telephone results package, self-check-in system, patient health record.
- Work flexibly across the service/sites as required.
