Job description
**Fixed term contract/ secondment opportunity until 02/04/2023**
Our dedicated Theatre Practice Development & Education Team based in the Theatre Complex have an exciting secondment opportunity for a Clinical Facilitator with specific responsibility for supporting the General/Vascular/Thoracic Team. These exciting and innovative specialities undertake some of the most complex and high-risk procedures within our department and will stimulate and challenge you as a healthcare professional both in your own clinical practice and as a Clinical Facilitator.
All three specialties use new cutting-edge technology to improve the quality of care and reduce the time spent recovering from surgery. This includes new robotic instruments designed to be intuitive and work with the surgeon to help with the most intricate of procedures and new million-pound X-Ray equipment allows surgeons to operate using minimal incisions to view the tiniest of vessels in high 4k resolution.
As the surgical care covers such a variety of specialities, the anaesthetic requirement is as diverse as it gets. Our anaesthetic teams perform epidurals, arterial monitoring, cardiac monitoring, intra-operative cell salvage, nerve blocks, spinal drains, and advanced airway techniques.
