Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- Prioritise and manage own work in accordance with MEMS section policies and competing service demand.
- Plan and organise the spares and accessories required to provide MEMS support to all Clinical areas across UCH, whilst optimising storage space
- Repair and maintain to the highest standards multiple types of medical equipment related problems.
- Support and participate in all Medical Devices Integration which are connected to EPIC in such a way as to ensure that these Devices remain in a fully functional and safe state.

Knowledge & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- HND or equivalent in Engineering or Physical Science
- BEng / BSc or equivalent in Engineering or Physical Science or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Training to Postgraduate Diploma level or Technician Engineer with membership of relevant professional body
Desirable criteria
- Registration as Clinical Technologist
Experience
Essential criteria
- A practical experience in Medical engineering workshop practices and techniques with experience of medical management/maintenance of electro medical equipment.
- Broad knowledge of medical device operation and management
Key Skills-physical & emotional effort, working conditions and physical skills

- Highly developed physical skills including manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for fine adjustment of equipment settings
