An exciting opportunity has arisen at Frimley Health NHS Foundation trust for an experienced, pro-active, enthusiastic, and conscientious administrator to join our clinical education team.
The successful candidate will need to have very good customer service, organisational skills, be enthusiastic ,pro-active and passionate and have the motivation to encourage and facilitate best customer service and administrative standards.
You need to have previous administration experience, ideally have knowledge/experience of working within a healthcare environment and an ability to demonstrate confident IT skills.
PURPOSE OF JOB:
- To provide comprehensive secretarial and data management support to the education team
- To be flexible with work time to ensure that the education team is supported appropriately, according to workload demands and service delivery
- To ensure that Trust standards are adhered to in relation to all documentation and confidential information
As well as delivering excellent general hospital services to local people, we provide specialist heart attack, vascular, stroke, spinal, cystic fibrosis and plastic surgery services across a much wider area.
We have three main hospitals - Frimley Park in Frimley near Camberley, Heatherwood in Ascot and Wexham Park near Slough.

We are also proud to host the Defence Medical Group South East at Frimley Park with military surgical, medical and nursing personnel working alongside the hospital's NHS staff providing care to patients in all specialties
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To work under the supervision of the education team
- Provide a first point of contact, answering all telephone enquiries, taking and relaying messages in a polite and helpful manner
- To have the ability to use own judgement to prioritise any issues and action as appropriate
- To provide administrative support for trust wide training sessions as required
- To provide payment processing support as required, through use of the Trust’s finance systems
- To open and sort incoming mail, including e-mail, and arrange the dispatch of outgoing mail
- E-mail relevant information and documents to internal and external candidates
- Arrange rooms and speakers for training programmes facilitated by the education team as required
- To provide administrative support for external meetings and conferences/events to include booking transport/accommodation as required
- To book meetings and arrange rooms
- To assist with Clinical Education audits
- To update and collate clinical education data for reporting purposes as required by the team
- Produce teaching certificates as required
- To prioritise, plan and organise own work schedule, ensuring that deadlines are met and anticipated difficulties in meeting deadlines are promptly reported
- To ensure the confidential and safe handling of data in accordance with organisational requirements, information governance and the Data Protection Act
- To maintain competence of information technology and update skills as appropriate
- Order office supplies
- To update the department’s intranet pages as required.
- To provide a base level of technical support for simulation training on an adhoc basis. Full training will be provided.
