About Us

Grahams Road Vets is a long established small animal clinic in Falkirk, Central Scotland. We have many lovely, loyal clients allowing us to work up cases to a very high standard. Falkirk is a thriving town with excellent transport links to both Glasgow and Edinburgh. It is also within easy reach of the beautiful Scottish countryside, mountains and beaches.

We have 5 veterinary surgeons with a wide range of interest and expertise. One has a medicine certificate and an interest in cardiology and another who has an interest in chronic pain, acupuncture and soft tissue surgery. We have 3 qualified RVNs who do a lot of consulting, such as wellness clinics, laboratory work as well as working in the operating room. We are a vet nurse training practice and currently have one student veterinary nurse and one animal care assistant. There are also 4 reception staff and two practice managers that currently job share.

The practice is very well equipped with a brand new ultrasound machine, complete with cardiac probe, ECG, digital x-ray, dental equipment, orthopaedic equipment, large laboratory, also separate cat and dog wards.

About the Team and Culture

The practice has a very friendly, supportive environment with a few excellent bakers amongst the staff! We strongly believe in the importance of a work /life balance and a number of staff currently work out with the standard 40 hour week.

Although we like to follow our own cases and provide continuity to our clients, there is a real emphasis on working collaboratively and discussing cases. Further training, such as pursuing special interests and certification is encouraged and supported. We aim to provide first opinion veterinary medicine to a very high standard and treat clients pets as if they were our own with a great deal of care and empathy.

Applicant Requirements

You must be a member of the RCVS with extensive experience of small animal veterinary medicine. You must be confident and competent in all clinical matters to lead and support the team in the day to day running of the practice.

Some experience as a Clinical Director or leader would be beneficial, but not essential as support and training can be provided. This may suit an experienced veterinary surgeon looking to take the next step into management. It is vital that the candidate is a team player, with excellent communication skills and passionate about veterinary medicine.
