Job description
The Clinical Data Coordinator is responsible for the collection, interpretation, and recording of data into the various databases in accordance with guidelines and standards, as well as, data validation and storage of various project documents. The coordinator is also responsible for reviewing project documents, and making necessary revisions, as well as, the preparation of data for reporting, meeting, and presentation purposes.
Required Qualifications:
- Require Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, the BSN is required within three (3) years of hire date. For new hires prior to 2012, BSN is required within three (3) years of promotion date.
- Require a minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience.
- Require current/active State of Florida licensure (RN, RT, RTR, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, and general knowledge of servers, interfaces, configuration, and databases.
- Prefer demonstrated working knowledge of chart abstraction; the application of relevant data variables and definitions; the ability to analyze data, design reports showing data trends, and present valid information.
- Prefer demonstrated attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to work alone with a commitment to long term objectives.
- Prefer demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills in interactions with patients, staff, and physicians.
- Prefer previous background in utilization management or quality assessment.
