An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Co-ordinator with Managerial responsibility for the Managed Care Network for Tayside Palliative and End of Life Care (PEOLC) to join the team within Tayside Specialist Services in Dundee Community Health Partnership. This post will be based in Perth at Cornhill Macmillan Centre.
The post holder will provide operational management, professional support and leadership to a range of services. Specialist Palliative Care Services are based within Cornhill Macmillan Centre, a purpose built palliative care unit, which is sited within the grounds of Perth Royal Infirmary. The service includes a 10 bedded In-patient Unit, Macmillan Day Care, Community Macmillan Nurse Team, Lymphoedema Service, Hospital Palliative Care Service, Family Support Service, Chaplaincy, Volunteer Service and Complementary Therapies Services.
The Managed Care Network for PEOLC is a well established Regional Network that facilitates and encourages the sharing of practice for PEOLC across Tayside as well as working in collaboration with National colleagues.
The post holder will report to the Associate Locality Manager for Tayside Specialist Palliative Care Services. The post holder, at times, will be responsible for providing managerial support to the other service areas in Tayside Specialist Palliative Care Services and wider operational issues within inpatient services in Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership.
You will be registered with a professional body, and will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be able to demonstrate effective management skills, including the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams and across services. You will also be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
We are seeking a practitioner with clinical experience appropriate to the role. The candidate will be educated to degree level, ideally with a completed Masters degree or evidence of working towards this.
