Global Trade and Receivables Finance comprises over 4,500 people across more than 60 countries, helping suppliers and buyers with their export and import finance needs. Trade is where HSBC began in 1865, when we financed commerce between Europe, North America and Asia.
We are currently seeking a Client Service Associate to join a small team looking after some of our largest global Clients. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills and expand your knowledge of the different products available in GTRF.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high quality customer driven service to ensure Client service levels are delivered in line with our Global service proposition
- Working accurately and ensuring all communications are dealt with in a professional and timely manner
- Effective collection activity is conducted on customer accounts covered by Credit Protection
- The security (debt) on the IFAI systems are correctly valued and displayed at all times
- Control Accounts are fully reconciled and outstanding items are subject to agreed clearance actions
- Reconciling and controlling the valuation of debts on a monthly basis, from client returns, and by servicing the clients’ operational requirements
- Retentions identified through risk management of client Aged Debtor reports are correctly applied
- Audit reports are promptly actioned
- Every opportunity to broaden and deepen the client relationship is seized
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Good understanding of Receivables Finance (RF) products and systems, and invoice discounting
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work unsupervised to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Sales Ledger reconciliation, accounting or credit control skills
- PC literate with knowledge of Excel being an advantage
- A team player
- Self-motivated to achieve results and accomplish objectives
- An absolute commitment to service of high quality
- Ability to constructively challenge and embrace change
The base location for this role is Worthing. Hybrid working is available with the expectation of a minimum of 1 day per week in the office.
