Aim and purpose of the role:
Become an integral member of the cashier’s team providing continuous and effective daily and periodic service to our clients, investment managers and internal departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out of all daily and periodic client payment requests, maintenance of client records and reconciliations. Time management, efficiency and accuracy are paramount importance in carrying out this role and as such all candidates are expected to demonstrate these qualities among others.
Duties:
- Dealing with incoming funds
- Daily banking when necessary
- Assist with bank reconciliations
- Client ledger maintenance and data input with a high degree of accuracy
- Foreign currency payments and dealing with FX journals
- Monitor department emails and ensure appropriate actions are taken
- Responding to information requests from clients / investment managers / internal departments
- Dealing with banks to resolve outstanding issues
- Provide support to team with ad-hoc requests
- Keeping up to date with company CPD requirements
- Ensure all postings are checked to high standards
- AWOL task list cleared intra day
- Ensure FX bank checks are done on a daily basis
Other Requirements:
- Planning and organisational skills with a higher degree of attention to detail and ability to produce work with a high level of accuracy
- Good communication skills
- Good time management skills with ability to deal with high volume daily workloads
- Client focused; looking after the interests of internal and external clients to ensure their requirements and expectations are met or exceeded.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst prioritising effectively and meeting deadlines when working under pressure
- A quick learner with good problem-solving skills
- Proactive individual with ability to think and resolve daily issues / tasks
- Flexibility and energy to meet targets
- Education to a good level (O/Levels, GCSE or A/Levels)
- Higher education is desirable
- Some experience in a similar department
- Experience working in a team environment
- Experience of working under pressure in a high-volume team
- Experience and ability to WFH if required
- Good working knowledge of MS office
- Fast and accurate data input skills
- Good eye for details
