Job description
Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £24,496 to £26,845 per annum (Grade F) | Norwich
We're looking for someone with strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to join the Client Hardship Service as a Client Hardship Assistant. Part of Norfolk County Council, the Client Hardship Service provides support for people across the county, and this is a great opportunity to be part of a team that works with vulnerable people in our society which has a positive impact on our communities. The role itself will involve speaking with people on the phone, triaging applications, answering voicemails and emails on behalf of the Client Hardship Team advisers. It's a fast-paced environment, with stringent timelines and deadlines, so we're looking for people who thrive working under pressure, who can assess information from multiple sources and who are motivated to make a difference. We're really open to considering people from a range of different backgrounds, but we think anyone with a support background would be a good fit, and experience of working with vulnerable people would be highly beneficial. You'll need solid communication and administration skills, confidence in dealing with members of the public, and ideally strong computer skills.
We want our people to be inspired and motivated to work well together, make the most of our workspaces, enjoy a healthy work-life balance, and deliver excellent services to Norfolk and its people. Flexibility is built into the way we work, with hybrid working a key feature for many roles. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.
