What you'll be doing:
We're currently recruiting an ambitious Supervisor for Defenc contracted to 32 hours per week.
You will be required:
To supervise the performance of cleaning team members and support your Line Manager.
To ensure all tasks associated with cleaning and any general support services are carried out with due regard to all Health & Safety Regulations.
Supervision of team members to ensure all general duties are completed to appropriate standards to support the efficient running of a contract or unit in line with contractual requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:
Ability to prioritise own workload and organise own work to meet priorities, and reduce risks to quality.
To demonstrate a can‐do attitude and strive to exceed customer expectations.
To be polite, professional and friendly at all times with customers, clients and colleagues.
Lead the cleaning teams and ensure all daily cleaning is completed to the required standard.
Monitor cleaning standards throughout all of their buildings on a daily basis.
To actively gain customer feedback, passing information gained onto your Line Manager.
Represent E.S.S. at C.O.’s Rounds.
To be the first point of contact for Building Controllers.
To liaise with the Building Controllers regularly, conduct walk rounds and deal with any complaints swiftly.
Ensure all Health & Safety measures are adhered to at all times.
Investigate and report any accidents or near misses.
Carry out continued Health & Safety training for cleaning operators within your teams.
Update and maintain cleaning operators training record cards.
Conduct induction training for new employees
Ensure that all team members are present each day and sickness and absence are reported to your Line Manager.
Maintain timekeeping standards within the cleaning teams.
Monitor staff holidays and ensure that cleaning cover is provided for absent members of your teams.
Hold daily Huddle meetings with the cleaning teams and attend daily Management Huddle meetings.
Maintain adequate stock and stores levels for buildings within their areas.

£10.83 per hour, 32 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 06:00 - 12:50
Friday 06:00 - 12:00
Who you are:
Our ideal Supervisor will:
Previous experience of supervising teams within a similar environment.
Be able to work as a team but also willing to act on their own initiative.
Good communication skills in order to be able to liaise with a wide range of team members and customers within your work environment.
Able to comply with legislation and follow all rules and regulations laid down in the staff handbook and unit policy statements, with regard to uniform, personal hygiene, health and safety.
Criminal Records Bureau security checks required where applicable in accordance with Employment Law and Legislation.
Cleaning expertise and experience relevant to the role.
Team player and can‐do attitude.
Regularly makes suggestions that aim to improve how the work area is cleaned and cleaning product wastage reduced.
Takes pride in personal appearance and hygiene.
Self motivated and able to use own initiative.
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude.
