A new Cleaning Operative vacancy has arisen within our business at the site of our customer, Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro, Cornwall.


LOCATION:
Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro

JOB TITLE: Cleaning Operative (Cleanroom Cleaner)

JOB TYPE: Part - Time (20 hours per week)

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Thursday, 2.00pm - 5.00pm; Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm

PAY: £11.82 per hour

CONTRACT: Temporary to Permanent (6 month fixed-term contract initially with the strong possibility of becoming a permanent position)


Job Introduction:


We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our friendly team working in Cleanroom environments. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all designated areas, such as research laboratories, as directed using appropriate equipment and/or materials as supplied.


  • Primary Responsibilities - Cleanroom Cleaning, mopping and wiping of surfaces and equipment as required to keep a high audit standard at all times. Working conditions are normal for a GMP Cleanroom facility.


Please note this role doesn't include cleaning of patient areas or hospital wards.


Role Responsibility
:


  • Produce good documentation practice compliant reports and documentation.
  • Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness within assigned areas by ensuring that the relevant work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed.
  • To ensure accurate completion of area logbooks as required by SOPs.
  • Ensure regular checks of the equipment and machines used during the working day. Any faults/defects to be reported to the customer.
  • Participate in the Health and Safety Policy of the Company and report any dangers or hazards to the customer and the line manager.
  • To attend training sessions appertaining to post.
  • Carry out any duties as required by the SOPs.
  • To liaise on a daily basis with other members of the cleaning team, other staff and customers.
  • All employees are required to, and are responsible for adhering to Quality, Compliance and Environmental, Health and Safety regulations and Micronclean procedures applicable to their role.

  • Training will be provided to ensure that the procedures are understood and responsibilities are defined.


The Ideal Candidate:


Essential:


  • Must have a good level of written and spoken English.
  • General good health.
  • Reasonable standard of fitness
  • Prepared to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed by Line Manager and in accordance with the working instructions/procedures.


Desirable:


  • Experience within a similar industry.
  • Team worker with a flexible approach.
  • Knowledge of COSHH.
  • An understanding of GMP and quality systems.
  • Good communication skills.
