Job description

RSN Clean, a family-owned and operated cleaning business based in the North-West, is currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated cleaner to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have prior cleaning experience and be comfortable working in a controlled environment, including the ability to work occasional weekends. They must also possess the ability to work independently, pay close attention to detail, and have a strong commitment to providing a high level of cleanliness to our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Cleaning offices, common areas, or other buildings using chemicals or deep-cleaning equipment
  • Wiping down windows, mirrors, and walls
  • Cleaning and vacuuming carpeted floors using a machine or cleaning solution
  • Dusting walls, baseboards, and other surfaces
  • Cleaning glass by hand using cleaning solution or towels
  • Sweeping and mopping concrete floors
  • Cleaning and disinfecting toilets and urinals
  • Emptying trash receptacles
  • Stocking and maintaining cleaning supplies
  • Communicating stairwell conditions to maintenance personnel

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Physical fitness
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures
  • Attention to detail
  • Teamwork and ability to work unsupervised
  • Good organizational skills
  • The post-holder is also expected to familiarize themselves with all company policies and procedures, and to always comply with them. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

As a member of the RSN Clean team, it is expected that the post-holder will always adhere to the company’s policies and procedures. This includes familiarizing oneself with all policies and procedures and making a consistent effort to comply with them. Any failure to comply with these policies may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment.

CONFIDENTIALITY & DATA PROTECTION

The post-holder must maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, staff and other health service businesses and always meet the requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The post-holder must always comply with all company Information and Data Protection policies.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Employees must be aware of the responsibilities placed on them under the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and any subsequent relevant legislation and must always follow these in full including ensuring that they act in line with all agreed procedures at all times in order to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. Failure to comply with these policies may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.

MANAGING STRESS

The company has an agreed policy & procedure which links with a range of services and arrangements for staff to manage stress. All staff are required to familiarise themselves with the policy and services to best manage their own and their colleagues’ stress.

HEALTHCARE ASSOCIATED INFECTIONS (HCAIs)

All staff have a responsibility to act and follow all instructions to protect patients, staff, and others from HCAIs. All staff are required to follow the Hygiene Code and all company policies and procedures related to it and the Health Act 2006. Failure to comply with any of these may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.

FLEXIBILITY

This job description is intended to provide a broad outline of the main responsibilities only. The post-holder is required to be flexible in developing their role in agreement with their designated manager. In addition, they may be required by their manager to carry out any other duty commensurate with their banding and expertise.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION:

  • GCSEs in English and maths.
  • NVQ in hotel services or health care
