Location: SERC Newcastle
Hours Per Week: Mon – Thurs : 2:00 – 4:30, 2:00 – 4:15 Friday (12.5 hrs)

Job Type: Permanent, Part Time
The Cleaning Operative shall:
- Sweep, suction clean, mop, dry buff, spray clean, spray wax, machine scrub and dry, strip and repolish floors using appropriate equipment
- Clean and remove stains of soft floor surfaces (carpets/matting) using the appropriate cleaning method
- Clean body fluids/solids from time to time using the appropriate cleaning method
- Clean toilet and shower areas including the fixtures and fittings and replenish toiletries.
- Clean, wash and dust ledges, walls, fixtures, fittings and internal surfaces. Polishing furniture where appropriate
- Empty and clean internal litter bins and remove litter to the designated collection points
- Use and care for any cleaning equipment issued in an appropriate and safe manner
- Complete all necessary paperwork
- Any other reasonable duties required by the Facilities Manager to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the contract
About You
Essential Criteria
1. Demonstrate previous experience in a similar cleaning role
2. Demonstrate and be able to speak conversational English
Desirable Criteria
1. BICS qualified
