About the role and our team
Join our team at Willaston Primary School as a Cleaner!
Within this role, you will work in conjunction with the Caretaker and other staff to thoroughly clean designated areas of the establishment and ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
Day to day, you will carry out various duties including:
- Washing, cleaning, sweeping, tidying, vacuum cleaning, polishing and dusting
- Removing litter receptacles for disposal
- Using mechanical powered equipment e.g. polishing machines, scrubbing machines, vacuum cleaning and carpet shampooers
You will be a front line representative at the site, therefore it is important to be able to interact and communicate with both members of the public, students and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
We are looking for someone well organised and self-motivated, who can work unsupervised. If you would like to be an active contributor to the life of the school, then this role could be for you!

Please note an enhanced with barring police check is required for this post, which the Department will cover the cost of for you. Please note if you have lived for more than 6 months outside of the UK in the last 5 years, you will be required to obtain a Letter of Good Standing from the appropriate authorities in the relevant locations, please read the guidance about how to obtain this letter.
A uniform will also be provided.
