Job description
We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Part-Time Cleaner to join our team at The Bank House. As a Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for our guests and staff. This position offers 12 hours of work per week, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a part-time role with flexible hours.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, and emptying rubbish bins on a regular basis.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and surfaces, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as dining areas, bar areas, and entryways, ensuring they are always presentable.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including tables, chairs, countertops, and fixtures.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces to maintain a clear and polished appearance.
- Replenish supplies, such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels, as needed.
- Follow proper cleaning procedures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient cleaning operation.
- Adhere to established schedules and complete tasks within allocated timeframes.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with guests and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as bending, stooping, and lifting, as necessary.
- Good time management skills to ensure tasks are completed within designated timeframes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and guests.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Understanding and adherence to health and safety guidelines.
