Job description

As a Housekeeper/Cleaner with our local team you will be responsible for the daily upkeep of all PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accommodation) your role is assigned to. Exhibiting a high standard of people skills for engaging with our guests. The role is 22.5 hours per week , Monday to Friday.


You will be joining a high energy team who take pride in their commitment to our guests and the cities they work in. A Housekeeper/Cleaner will need to ensure the properties they are assigned to are maintained to a high standard to give our guests reassurance for their health and wellbeing, achieved through timely and efficient cleaning. You will report directly to the Property Manager and will provide great customer service to our guests whilst keeping costs to a reasonable and budgeted level.


Responsibilities (to include but not limited to)


  • Clean office, meeting rooms and public areas of the property;
  • Help to keep the building hygienic, fresh and tidy;
  • Liaise with the Property Manager on cleaning schedules and cleaning material stock control;
  • Maintain the Laundry to a safe, clean, tidy standard;
    Maintain public and staff restrooms, topping up supplies as needed to maintain a safe, clean, tidy standard;
  • Ensure all water and other spillages are cleaned up immediately after they occur;
  • Maintain records as required by your manager;
  • be responsible for COSHH relevant to the products used, whilst wearing appropriate PPE;
  • Support meetings and training activities including fire and evacuation procedures etc
  • Timely processing of reactive maintenance tickets, diagnosing problems quickly and efficiently, and keeping guests informed at each step via our electronic ticketing system
  • Conducting daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly checks as required in the property;
  • Assist with end of tenancy turnaround cleans
  • Ensure properties are maintained to ANUK standards or higher
  • Work with Property Manager to manage Cost Controls and Profitability through understanding of P&L budgeting, whilst ensuring financial processes/procedures are adhered to
  • Keeping a high standard of service through robust and timely engagement with our guests

Qualifications


  • Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on housekeeping/cleaning experience
  • Locally (Oxford) area) based
  • enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking
  • keen eye for detail and have excellent customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
