Pro rata (£8,213 to £8,287 actual salary)
1 x Permanent contact – 52 weeks per year
15 hours per week, hours: 3.15pm to 6.15pm, Monday to Friday

King Edward VII is seeking to appoint a cleaner as part of a small team helping to maintain a clean and healthy learning environment for the users of our School.
The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in classrooms, science rooms, design and technology rooms, toilets and other areas around School. This post is based at the Upper School Building on Glossop Road.
The successful candidate will be able to:
· communicate effectively with other employees and the school community
· be reliable and punctual
· be able to use their initiative
· be aware of Health and Safety Policies
· take responsibility for the cleaning standards in a specific area
· work to a high standard in a safe manner
· understand the needs of the School in prioritising work load
· willing to undertake any training provided

The successful candidate will be required to complete Disclosure and Barring Service declarations in line with Section 115 of the Police Act 1997. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicant will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS certificate. As the post will involve regulated activity with children, it is a criminal offence to apply for this post if you are included on the children’s barred list held by the DBS.
Amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975 (2013 & 2020) provide that certain spent convictions and cautions are “protected”. These are not subject to the disclosure to employers and cannot be taken into account. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide details of all unspent convictions and those that would not be filtered, prior to the date of the interview.
