Vacancy for a Cleaner Warren School, Lowestoft

Days: Monday to Friday 44 weeks per year
Hours: 3 hrs daily
Venue: Warren School Lowestoft
Times 3pm – 6pm
Salary: Pay Point 1 £10.55 per hour

Details: We are looking for dedicated and friendly cleaner to join our wonderful staff team at Warren
School Lowestoft. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual to undertake the cleaning of designated areas throughout the school to a high standard. Experience is highly desirable but not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate.

Requirements: We are looking for a cleaner who can

  • Thoroughly clean areas to the required specification using cleaning equipment.
  • Safe removal of litter and waste to allocated disposal points
  • Undertaking training in use of methods, materials and equipment
  • Working safely using correct warning signs, protective clothing and safety equipment,
  • Compliance with the Health & Safety practices of the Site.
  • Replenishing supplies of toiletries, plastic bags etc
  • Cleaning, checking and storing all equipment used after use,
  • Ensure mops, cloths etc., are washed and left to dry as appropriate at the end of each session.
  • Reporting immediately to your Line Manager any defects or vandalism etc., in your cleaning area.
  • Ensuring Line Manager is aware of low stock levels of materials and equipment
  • Assist in keeping chemicals and cleaning materials and equipment storage areas in a clean and tidy
  • Covering on a rota basis for absent colleagues when required, which may involve some change in hours/times.

Qualifications: Basic level literacy and numeracy
