Main Purpose of the Role
The role will provide cleaning services during out of hours to ensure that the office building is clean and tidy at the end of the day. Ideally, we are looking for two cleaners who can cover the hours between 5pm and 10pm as a job share, each working 12.5 hours per week. However, we are willing to consider other working patterns provided they meet the needs of the business.
Responsibilities and duties
- Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness within your areas of responsibility in accordance with the Clients specifications. These schedules are to be completed as instructed by your supervisor.
- Ensure regular checks of the equipment and machines used during your hours of duty and report any defects to the Cleaning Supervisor.
- Participate in the Health and Safety Policy of the company and report to the Cleaning Supervisor/Manager any dangers or hazards that you may encounter.
- Ensure that you wear safe and adequate footwear and issued work wear at all times.
- As and when necessary, to assist with other tasks within your capabilities in order to maintain and improve the cleaning services within the premises.
- Attend training sessions that are specific to your particular job.
- Represent and promote the Company whenever possible. Be polite and courteous.
- Help to create a happy working environment.
- Make yourself familiar with and follow all Company procedures and regulations
Person Specification
- Capable of following instructions and learn new techniques
- Strong time management skills in order to ensure all work is completed by the end of shift
- Demonstrate an understanding of standard cleaning supplies and equipment
- Self-starter who takes the initiative to determine and complete necessary tasks, even with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
- Possess a strong attention to detail

Our home is located in Redditch, South Birmingham, with easy access routes to the M5/M42, a 20-minute walk to the train station, as well as many bus routes. Not forgetting Arrow Valley Lake which is a stone's throw away and a beautiful spot to get those steps in or enjoy your lunch with a view.
