Role: Cleaner

Location: Glasgow, Scotland

Hours: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract- Part Time 20 hours per week

Salary: £21,029 per annum

A little big about the role and service:

Here at Stoneside we offer support to Children and Young People with a range of disabilities and complex needs. Stoneside consists of two services which are adjoined, we have a Short Breaks Service and a Residential Service. Working alongside our housekeeper you will play a big part in helping us make our service warm and welcoming, we will look to you to maintain a high standard ensuring all areas are clean, presentable and safe for our Young People, Families, Staff and Visitors.


What you'll be doing

As a Cleaner, you will be:

  • Undertaking cleaning of designated premises, work and service areas, as detailed in the cleaning schedule ensuring completion within the set timescales.
  • Maintaining a stock of cleaning supplies necessary to complete tasks and where necessary, alert management to the need to replenish the stock.
  • Being responsible for the safe use and storage of cleaning materials, in line with Health & Safety at Work Regulations and Action for Children policies.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen, including cleaning and safely packing away kitchen equipment, cutlery and utensils.


You will need:

  • Experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations
  • Good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative when required.
  • A good knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety at work would be beneficial.
