We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and creative class teacher to join our committed, inclusive staff team who can:
- Ensure high standards of education and achievement within the classroom.
- Demonstrate experience of teaching across the primary age range.
- A passion for meeting the needs of all children
- Work closely with the rest of the staff team and support all aspects of school life.
- Motivate, challenge and inspire staff and pupils.
- Commit to working in partnership with the Headteacher and other staff both at St Mary’s Primary and across Initio Learning Trust.
- Support the Christian ethos of the school.

The Trust will accept a range of evidence of spoken English language ability:
- competently answering interview questions in English;
- possessing a relevant qualification for the role attained as part of education in the UK or fully taught in English by a recognised institution abroad,
- passing an English language competency test or possessing a relevant spoken English or Welsh qualification at CEFR Level B1 or above, taught in English or Welsh by a recognised institution abroad (and from September 2017 this includes Welsh second language GCSE).

Keeping Children Safe in Education
We will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
